Thread issues!

Being a beader (check out my jewelry blog) I, of course work with thread. I swear Mr. Man just knows when I am beading. It's like he has this radar that's saying "thread alert dining room table". He knows this is a big no no. But being a cat (although Doug & I think he's part dog, but I'll save that for another time)he just has to do what cats do.

Knowing he will get in trouble he will sit about 6" from the thread that's dangling down and just watch, with an occasional swatting of it. And I know he's trying to be as good as he can, but he still needs to get reprimanded.

Then he thinks he's going to trick me. He will get on one of the other chairs under the table and pretend like he's sleeping, with one eye open of course, watching the thread go up and down. But when I feel a little paw on my leg, then I know what's coming next, and he quickly gets escorted out the door. This little ritual goes on everyday, and I think he's gotten so used to it that he knows now to go right to the door before I've even finished getting up.

And as I'm writing this I'm looking out the window and I can see Mr. Man trying to jump up a small tree to get the birds, with no success. Good! And yes, he really does sit like that!

Cat fact:
If your cat is near you, and her tail is quivering, this is the greatest expression of love your cat can give you. If her tail starts thrashing, her mood has changed. Time to distance yourself from her.
